Chris, owner of Total Leather Care, in his work uniform
Leather repair work by Total Leather Care

A family business, still run by the family

Chris learned vinyl repair in the 1970s and started New Life Service in 1977, fixing car interiors on site at auto dealers. In the early 1980s he turned to leather furniture under the Total Leather Care name, and we’ve been in business in Horsham since 1987.

Today we repair leather and vinyl on furniture, restaurant booths, car interiors, jackets and handbags, and we reupholster leather and fabric furniture and replace foam and Dacron. We’re affiliated with other Total Leather Care locations across the United States.

Chris and Joan are both personally involved in the business. When a piece has to come to the shop, Chris is most likely the one who picks it up and brings it home again.

Questions we hear often

Do you really do the repair at my house?

Yes. Most of our work is done at your location — homes, restaurants, offices and condo buildings. Pieces that need rebuilding or reupholstery come back to our Horsham workshop, and we deliver them when they're done.

Can I get a price before anyone comes out?

Send us photos of the whole piece and a close-up of the damage, and we'll reply with a rough estimate. If you then book an in-home inspection, the inspection fee becomes a deposit toward the work.

Do you work on vinyl as well as leather?

Yes. We repair both, including vinyl restaurant booths and car interiors.

Is there anything you don't repair?

Boots, belts and wallets. On coats we don't replace zippers or do alterations, on handbags we don't repair hardware or straps, and we repair car seats but don't reupholster them.

How do coat and handbag repairs work?

Bring or ship the item to our Horsham office. There's no estimate fee for items brought in. Please call before you come — our technicians are usually out on service calls, so you may need to leave the item for them to look at.

How can I pay?

We accept cash, checks and credit cards.

Send us your photos

Tell us what’s wrong, attach a couple of pictures, and we’ll reply with a rough estimate and the next available appointment.

All fields are required except photos — but photos get you the most accurate estimate.
